All Blackberry and iPhone Users-No More Scratches
Posted by: | CommentsI recently broke down and bought a new Blackberry Storm because I am a Verizon subscriber and the iPhone is not offered with Verizon users. But I hear that Verizon and Apple are in talks to bring the iPhone to us Verizon subscribers.
If you are like me, you just hate it when your new shoes get stepped on and become dirty. You also hate door dings on your ride so you park away from other cars at parking lots. You hate when your new Maui Jims get scratched and you especially hate it when you drop a few hundred dollars on a new Blackberry and drop it to now find freakin scratches on it. And lose your interest in your new phone because now its all scratched up.
One of my biggest apprehensions with buying a Blackberry was the fact that I was going to drop it and it getting all scratched up and dinged. I mean the iPhone and blackberries are very cool but damn they are proned to getting messed up, its not a matter of will it but when will it get scratched up? On a referral from a friend I went and bought a Case Mate Shield for my Blackberry because their video made it seem so easy to install it yourself and you save your cell from scratches, well after sinking $19.99 plus shipping, I failed and throw the damn cover away out of frustration.
But recently while walking through Oakridge Mall in South San Jose, right across from the Apple store there was kiosk cart there selling “invisible shield” from Zagg. What made me look twice at their product was this video demonstrating the invisible shield strength, check it out here, I was convinced.
So if you are like me and can’t stand scratches on your stuff, go down there to Oakridge Mall in San Jose. I am sure that just about any mall will sale these invisible shields but at Oakridge Mall you can go see Rachael “the only girl” who works there and get your Blackberry or iPhone covered. They will even do your laptop or Ipod among all kinds of other devices. Keep “the re-sale value” of your cell by keeping it new looking. They will install it for you ( a huge bonus ) and you get a lifetime warranty on the shield.
It is a little pricey @ $34.95 for a complete cover ( 8 pieces in all ) for my Blackberry but you do not have to install it yourself and you pay only once and never have to buy another “invisible shield” again. You can always just get the faceplate done if you want to save money. Also if you do decide to get one, let Rachael know that the “dude with the blog” who knows the owners from Shoe Palace, sent you.

My free WIFI and coffee shops, pet peeves.
Posted by: | CommentsFree WIFI and coffee shops are so main stream these days that most times we do not even give thought to how silly we look stuffed in front of our laptops.
Especially on day like we are having today in San Jose, you would think that most people would NOT want to be sitting in front of computer working or worse yet, just mindlessly surfing the net inside a coffee shop, People we need to get outside and get some sun, run, workout, play volley at the beach or just soak up some vitamin D and decompress.
But, on the other hand, for individuals like myself, this is our workstation. Our time for a change in atmosphere and get away from the office, its one of the beautiful perks of having an online business. With this said, I am seeing allot of crap that just pisses me off, so much that, I am taking the time out, to write this blog post and tell you my “Free WIFI and Coffee Shops Pet Peeves”
I can hear it already, my business partner thinking, “with all the work that he says needs to get done, why is he wasting his time on this stuff”.
And she is right, so I am going to make this quick and outline just SOME of my worst pet peeves, and leave it open for you to share yours.
- Crying babies, dont get me wrong, I know that coffee shops are public places and open to all, but damn do you need to feed your baby there, change their diapers, let them throw food and run all over the place (was that a pastry that almost hit me? Is this a kidspark that serves coffee and has WIFI?) Sorry parents.
- Coffee shops not providing enough outlets to supply all the tables. I mean come on, you guys know that working on laptops and drinking coffee is what made you very rich. CAN WE GET MORE OUTLETS PLEASE (Orchard Valley Coffee, Campbell & most Starbucks)? It will not break your bank, to show some love here.
- Speaking of Star-rip-you-off-by-charging-you-for-wifi-bucks, what is this all about? Again it will not hurt your bank acct. to offer free wifi at your locations, damn you guys charge enough for the coffee. But I probably can see why, Starbucks is now charging us, They have accelerated their business so fast (greed), they are losing money now and closing shops up.
- People not paying attention, everyday I see individuals just walking in, chatting, looking around for their friends not paying attention and now they have just tripped over my charging cord, ripped it away from laptop forcing me to save my $1500 investment from dropping to the floor, yes I said investment. Remember this is my business, it is not just a laptop. People please pay attention, I mean you are, in a coffee shop that provides free wifi and that means, that there will be laptops and powercords everywhere. It makes sense to me.
- People who leave their mess from spilled coffee, bread crumbs and empty plates. On a day like this tables are a premium and when you get up, most likely someone is going to take up your place, please be considerate of that.
Well, I feel much better now that I got that off my chest, now maybe I get some work done. I left this list of pet peeves unfinished, so that you can leave your pet peeve, thank you.

Massage Parlors in San Francisco, Really?
Posted by: | CommentsA massage parlor providing “happy endings” in San Francisco picked a wrong neighborhood to set up shop. When Vicente Fitness and Health Care Spa opened their door in the Sunset District, just a half block away from Dianne Feinstein Elementary School, parents took action to get this place shut down. Parents not the SFPD.
I get so angry that these massage parlors, are able to open up shop so easily, get busted for prostitution, get closed down and open up again in a week. But when we follow the rules and try to open up a legit therapeutic massage business, we are treated like shit and experience nothing but one obstacle after another. Our massage business Roman Paradigm Massage is not a “massage parlor” we provide real therapeutic benefits for our clients.
Massage Parlors and Professional Massage Businesses
There is a difference, but the city treats, acts and labels us as a “massage parlor” WTF? If we wanted to run a “massage parlor” we would not be walking into the city offices with tax papers, physical examinations papers, business licenses, floor plans and background checks in hand. I mean come on, if we can legalize weed for medical reasons, they should legalize “massage happy endings parlors” for medical reason as well. But keep the two business categories separate from each other,
Massage Parlors=happy endings
Massage Establishments=legit therapeutic bodyworkers
I think that some rules and regulations need to be adjusted or changed, Massage parlors in SF, so what this does not hurt us, keep those businesses labeled as “massage parlors” but if you are an operator/owner of a legitimate therapeutic professional massage business, we should have a different licensing title, such as “therapeutic establishment” or “massage business” is this too much to ask?
This way the public, law enforcement and city planners will know that there is a difference, Roman Paradigm Massage is not giving out hand jobs or sucking dick, San Jose stop treating us as such. If we were giving out hand jobs, I am sure we would be making allot more money. When you want a no Fluff Oily Spa massage, come to our massage business in San Jose, near Santana Row, we provide the best in deep muscle therapy, not hand jobs.

When I started my massage blog 13 months ago, I have no idea that I would be able to have enough massage related material to share with everyone, let alone have interesting stories to tell. I am often asked why I give away so much free information, am I not afraid that a competitor will use the information and compete with my business? No, I am not afraid, and I will continue to share my experiences and the lessons that I learn, because I have a tremendous amount of passion for what I am doing.
Internet technology has given me a platform to speak to anyone who finds my experiences interesting, I find this very rewarding. And because, I am passionate about the massage industry, not only from a stand-point of being a therapist, and helping other bodyworkers to achieve success in their massage practice. But also, realizing the benefits and the potential that massage has on people’s lives. Helping people to overcome their physical pain and you can’t have physical without the emotional pain, is meaningful work for me.
I want to share with you a short video clip from Malcolm Gladwell at the Dreamsforce in San Francisco, on doing meaningful work. It’s why I share with you so much free information with you and it also why, I have been able to continue, for 13 months.

Slow Down and Get a Massage!
Posted by: | CommentsToday I write rather puzzled in regards to our economy. I must admit that I’m not a morning person nor do I love waking up to NEWS on the TV. Unfortunately, there isn’t much control to this aspect since my boyfriend loves to see “what’s going” as he puts it. The last few weeks, I’ve noticed even though I don’t want to, how many “accidents, homicides, and hit-n-runs” there have been in the Bay Area.
Have you stopped to wonder what’s going on? I mean, there is always bad news in the media. Why would it impact me so much more now than it did before? I pondered this question for a full day and realized one simple concept. We as people are letting our circumstances get to us.
Circumstances can have many masks. Some call it financial difficulties; others may say it’s a relationship issue or better yet, our government. The only thing I know that we all have control over is OURSELVES. You can have the power to change your mood, your perception as well as your outcome.
So how does all this tie into my first paragraph? It’s quite simple. It’s a domino effect. The hardship we are experiencing in our lives due to our “circumstances” put so much STRESS and pressure upon us that our inner-being is in pain. We start living each day as a haze. One day fades into the next. We get into our cars in this manner and soon enough, something happens to WAKE us up.
Recently, an elderly woman was fatally struck by a vehicle as she was on her way to get more supplies for her granddaughter’s birthday. A 4 year old was fatally struck as he played. A councilman in Fairfield age 21 years young was gun down. Two different incidents like this happened in Oakland two weeks ago.
SLOW DOWN PEOPLE- literally and figuratively. Live is busy, but we have to take each day at a time. The economy is not going to improve anytime soon and as soon as we can realize that fact and learn to do our best with it, it will become easier. The emotional stress that is put on our bodies from daily stressor can harm our decision making process. Get a massage, our massage business RPM Therapy is a perfect solution to life’s craziness.
I’m not saying that all the incidents are due to someone having a bad day, or that getting regular massages would help any but wouldn’t you admit that if things were going better or at least if “they” changed their attitudes towards their circumstances, lots of lost lives would have been spared?

San Jose Sharks, Thank You and Get a Massage
Posted by: | CommentsFor an amazing season and for the hard fought battle last night against the Dallas Stars, I have nothing but love for you guys.
5 hours and 14 minutes the longest game in franchise history nobody can’t say that the San Jose Sharks did not try hard enough. San Jose Sharks we all wish that you could have been only the 3rd team in the history of the NHL to come from down 3-0 and advance to the next series.
When Brian Campbell was called for tripping I knew in my heart that this might be it, the San Jose Sharks just did not have anymore in their legs. can you imagine how the Sharks must be feeling physically right now, Oh btw, San Jose Sharks if you guys need a great massage to work out all those tired muscles, you guys have a personal invite to come in and get a fantastic deep tissue or relaxing massage from us at RPM-Therapy, we are located in San Jose near Santana Row.
And wow, what about Nabokov on that first OT save from Center Brad Richards of Dallas, wasn’t that the save of the year or what? Well Sharks maybe next year we will make history with our first Stanley Cup Trophy in franchise history.

Can The San Jose Sharks Make History?
Posted by: | CommentsTonight is game 6 between the Dallas Stars and our San Jose Sharks. I must admit, I was not going to watch Game 5 because I did not want to watch a disappointing lose and an end to our season, I am so happy that I changed my mind.
Game 5 was an amazing game, just when it looked very dim for our San Jose Sharks, we were blessed by having not only 1 goal waved off, but 2 goals waved off by hockey officials. I am not a stat person but I can’t remember if that has ever happen to San Jose Sharks before in such a big game. And boy did the Sharks take advantage of those two gifts. I remember when the officials took waved off that last goal, the cameraman showed a picture of Joe Thornton and he was expression-less, I could not help to think, damn, these guys need to stay focus and they did.
Tonight, could make for a special event for San Jose Sharks fans, if they are able to win on the road which the sharks play better when they do, they will bring another game 7 here to San Jose and a chance to make history, there has only been two other times in the history of the NHL that a team has come from 3-0 in a series to win and advance to the next round. And that next round will be against the Detroit Red Wings.
But first before we worry about the Detroit Redwings, the San Jose Sharks need to play tonight as if this was Game 7, GO SHARKS!!
