My Story
Hello everyone, thank you for visiting my blog and I am pleased that you have. So this is where I get to tell you a little about myself, how I got here and to share with you the idea behind, “Think Diagonal”
First let’s start with, “Think Diagonal” this is my metaphor for that old saying, “Think Outside the Box” I am a chess player, I am an average player in skills. Think Diagonal is a term that I took from the game of chess.
The knight although not the most valuable piece on the board, it is the only piece on the board that can “jump over” pieces to capture an opponent, and moves in a diagonal fashion across the board. All other pieces on the board cannot advance with another piece in its path (business obstacles) the knight has the ability to move diagonal around the board and “jump” to capture its opponent. This is my reason for resonating towards this concept for marketing businesses.
In business, at least in my case and I’m sure for many of you as well, you will not always get the “welcome mat” to business success. You sometimes need to jump, leap or go around someone or something to achieve your business goals. This is how I approach all challenges in life whether it may be business or personal.
I started out as a personal trainer and then went on to be a physical therapist assistant, it was working as a PT assistant that I decided that I wanted to become a massage therapist. To work part-time as a massage therapist and start a beef jerky business. But I became so busy as a massage therapist that I was not able to do anything with the beef jerky idea. My life as a massage therapist became a full time job. I will share with you all the things that I have seen and learned in this business.
After surviving Meningitis that had me just hours away from dying, I now live my life with a purpose. I love spicy foods, and Doreen, who is my business partner and someone who is very dear to me. I love playing chess, riding my Ducati. My Ducati is actually my stress-relief activity, I love to work-out and run. You can always find me at Santana Row taking in the sights and working on my laptop. I make a tasty beef jerky. Jazz concerts, Las Vegas, Harbin Hot Springs, Napa and going shopping (spending money) are some of my favorite things to do.
